Alesha & Kurtis ~ We Did

When I met Alesha for the first time ~when we were going over my portfolio~ I remember her saying about a 1000 times (seriously) that she really wanted her photos where she spends ALOT of her time (even her honeymoon)~at the ranch.

Time didn't allow that on her wedding day so we decided to use up her Trash the Dress or We Did session doing just that.

I had so much fun that I can't wait for the next time....

I really enjoy being around this family there is just something about them that just makes you...Happy....for lack of better word. Like I said before I am so fortunate to have met you guys and your family and thanks again for inviting us into your home.

I hope you enjoy what I have come up with I know that I have to admit this session just might be one of the top of the summer!

You can surely tell how in love the two of you are.....and I wish you all the happiness in the world.







Seriously this photo just might be the most INSANE pic I've ever taken!!!! The chances that that baby came up to her momma at that moment....CRAZY!!

The Vanderwerf Family

Okay so I had the opportunity to shoot in what I've been told a place that was recognized in National Geographic as one of THE most amazing places for sunsets!!

The only thing I regret about this shoot is leaving too early and not hanging out a little longer.....I'm thinking David had a different motive and I think my hubby was lovin it! Hopefully next time we come out we can have more time to just 'hang out'.

Okay so I have to admit it was a little difficult trying to get these two to look at the camera for more than a second so we took a 'time out' to let loose some of that energy...these are what we came up with !! LOVE EM!!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this one!!

Julia the little Ham

Well I was more than happy to do this shoot.....Steve has been one of my MOST favourite people since I was a little girl.....he taught me how to skate and between him and my dad taught me how to ride a bike!!

Also I was able to take them to a few of my favourite spots growing up.

And their little girl truly was a little HAM....when I made funny noises or faces she just looked at me like I was a little crazy but when it came to showing her teeth (which she just got within the last couple weeks) or looking at puppies wow she lit up!!

I think this shoot of Julia is one of my faves!

I had the opportunity to photograph my brother and his GF while we were ALL in Ontario.

Well thanks Jody for asking me to photograph your family and I hope these pics will always remind you of our two fams meeting for the first time.

Almost didn't happen though due to the lighting and them following a VERY slow driver.....well happy it did.

Okay so I had the privilege to photograph a few of my favourite people.....

I never thought I'd feel so homesick until after this recent time spent in Ontario with my boys....and to boot photographing my family! I know I live in a beautiful place but nothing compares to being close to family.

Thanks you guys for allowing me to document a few memories for you and making me realize that some things just aren't as important as family!!

I want to thank you guys again for having Rod and I document your day. I hope this becomes something I do every year~weddings in Ontario! I loved doing a wedding in a place that is not only different than I'm used to but having the opportunity to do a wedding in my home town!!!!
